CARGO SECURING SAFETY SURVEY

Scope of Survey

VMCONTROL conducts cargo securing safety surveys for various modes of transportation, including:

  • Seagoing vessels, barges, inland waterway barges
  • Containers (20ft, 40ft, flat racks)
  • Trucks, trailers, and specialized vehicles
  • Railway transport wagons
  • Oversized and overweight cargo, machinery, industrial equipment, fragile goods, spill-prone cargo, and dangerous goods

Types of Inspection Services

  • Verification of cargo securing and lashing condition prior to departure from port/terminal
  • On-site supervision of lashing operations to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Evaluation of strength capacity of securing materials such as straps, chains, dunnage, bracing bars, and lashing points
  • Assessment of the suitability of securing structures based on cargo type and mode of transport
  • Early detection and warning of critical issues such as improper lashing techniques, substandard materials, or risks of cargo shifting during transit
  • Re-inspection after corrective actions as guided by the surveyor
