CARGO SECURING SAFETY SURVEY

Scope of Survey

VMCONTROL conducts cargo securing safety surveys for various modes of transportation, including:

Seagoing vessels, barges, inland waterway barges
Containers (20ft, 40ft, flat racks)
Trucks, trailers, and specialized vehicles
Railway transport wagons
Oversized and overweight cargo, machinery, industrial equipment, fragile goods, spill-prone cargo, and dangerous goods

Verification of cargo securing and lashing condition prior to departure from port/terminal
On-site supervision of lashing operations to ensure compliance with safety standards
Evaluation of strength capacity of securing materials such as straps, chains, dunnage, bracing bars, and lashing points
Assessment of the suitability of securing structures based on cargo type and mode of transport
Early detection and warning of critical issues such as improper lashing techniques, substandard materials, or risks of cargo shifting during transit
Re-inspection after corrective actions as guided by the surveyor
