The Objective of the Inspection
The pre-loading inspection aims to ensure the vessel’s cargo holds are in suitable condition to receive cargo, in compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a critical step in minimizing the risk of damage or contamination during transport.

Scope of Work

General inspection of cargo holds:
Assessment of cleanliness, dryness, odor, residues from previous cargoes, paint condition, rust, or any damage that might affect the quality of the incoming cargo. -
Inspection of hatch covers and drainage systems:
Ensuring hatch covers are watertight, operational, and free from leakage. Drainage systems are checked for proper functionality. -
Draft reading and recording:
Observing and recording the vessel’s draft marks to compare with post-loading drafts for cargo quantity estimation. -
Photographic evidence and reporting:
Capturing current conditions and documenting findings as part of the inspection report and certification process.
Preliminary Findings
At the time of inspection, MV YANGTZE FLOURISH was found to be in suitable condition to receive cargo. No deficiencies were noted that would negatively impact the cargo quality. The vessel was cleared to proceed with the loading operation.
