⚙️ Bunker Survey Procedure

1. Pre-bunkering Inspection

  • Record the type and quantity of fuel already on board (before receiving)

  • Check the condition of fuel tanks on both the receiving vessel and the supply barge/truck

  • Conduct manual tank soundings using calibrated sounding tapes; measure temperature and density at the time of gauging

2. During Bunkering

  • Supervise hose connections, pumping procedures, and bunker rate

  • Monitor tank levels, flow meters (if available), and record any unusual events

  • Record start and stop times

3. Post-bunkering Inspection

  • Re-sound tanks to calculate actual volume received

  • Convert volume to weight at 15°C using standard density correction

  • Collect representative fuel samples (if required) for laboratory analysis

4. Issuance of Bunker Survey Report

  • A complete report including measurements, volume/weight calculations, on-site photos, and signed documents
