1. Weight Determination Inspection

- Draft survey for bulk cargoes on vessels or barges;
- Volumetric survey for stockpiled cargo at warehouses or yards;
- Weighbridge inspection for bagged or containerized goods;

2. Quality (Grade) Inspection
A critical step to ensure the product complies with technical specifications outlined in commercial contracts or Letters of Credit (L/C). Typical quality parameters analyzed include:
- Major and trace mineral content (SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, Al₂O₃, TiO₂, etc…);
- Physicochemical properties such as moisture, ash, sulfur content, calorific value (for coal);
- Particle size distribution, purity, hardness, water permeability;
- Process-specific criteria for metallurgy, construction materials, and other industrial applications.
Sampling guidelines:
- 1 composite sample per 500 MT for high-speed conveyor loading/unloading;
- 1 composite sample per 200 MT for manual or semi-automated handling methods.
