⚙️ PURPOSE OF HOSE TEST
The Hose Test is a technical procedure used to check the tightness, pressure resistance, and mechanical integrity of pipelines and flexible hoses onboard ships.
The purpose is to:

Ensure no leakage occurs in the ship’s hose systems (oil, ballast, fresh water, fire line, cargo line, etc.).

Verify pressure-holding capability under normal and test conditions.

Detect defects, cracks, corrosion, or material degradation due to age or wear.

Maintain compliance with Class, Flag State, and Port State Control (PSC) requirements.
